BERGMAN COLD PAINTED BRONZE LAMP. Magnificent large bronze lamp is cast in the form of a mosque with domed roof and tall prayer tower. To the side of the mosque is a cast bronze awning resembling red cloth. Inside the mosque is turban-clad gentleman kneeling in prayer with hands raised. He is kneeling on a beautifully painted prayer rug. The outside of the mosque is painted in warm gold tones and the awning is painted red. The mosque dome has red glass windows that illuminate when lit, while the prayer tower has green glass windows. Lamp is signed on the back with the initial “B” inside the outline of a two-handled urn. It is signed again with the same mark on the foot, which is also signed “Made in Austria”. SIZE: 28-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Very good to excellent, with slight damage to point of prayer tower. 5-67280 (15,000-20,000)
