ATTRIBUTED TO WILLIAM TROST RICHARDS (American, 1833-1905) EVENING GRAZING. Fine oil on mahogany panel early evening scene shows a water and marsh area with four white tail deer all under a colorful early evening sky. Two haystacks can be seen on the right side and one deer has stopped for a drink of water. The left leaf covered bank appears to have remnants of a signature which is totally illegible. Housed in a period gesso decorated gilt frame. SIZE: 5-3/4″ x 10-1/2″. CONDITION: Very good, very minor spot inpainting in sky. 9-95411 (3,000-5,000)
