TEN INTERESTING COLOR WHEEL PLATES FOR “COOLEY’S POWDER COLORS, BOSTON, MASS”. The lot consists of a set of seven 8-1/2″ white ground plates, all marked “Cooley’s Boston, Mass.”. Titled Yellows; Greens; Browns; Reds & Blacks; Carmen’s Pinks & Greys; Two Maroons, Rubies, Etc. Each plate having a series of colored swatches on the border with color name. Two 8-1/2″ plates titled “Cooley’s Powder Colors” with different color swatches along with a 7-1/2″ plate titled “Cooley’s Powder Colors”. We believe these plates were showroom examples for paint used for painting on porcelain. CONDITION: A few of the plates have small losses to color swatches but generally very good. 9-21999 (500-1,000)
