GROUP OF THREE AMERICAN VICTORIAN KNICKKNACK SHELVES. Third quarter 19th century. The largest example with 6 graduated serpentine shelves, the two uppermost with pierced galleries, each separated with four baluster turned supports capped by turned finials. The second, a 5 tier example with molded serpentine shelves, three pierce carved galleries and each separated by baluster turned supports capped by turned finials. The third, a 5 tier corner shelf with molded edges, three pierce carved galleries and each shelf separated by three baluster turned supports and capped with turned finials. SIZE: First: 68″ h x 35″ w x 13″ d. Second: 60″ h x 36″ w x 13″ d. Third: 57-1/2″ h x 24″ w. PROVENANCE: From an Ellsworth, Maine Estate. CONDITION: All with original surfaces in varying need of repolishing. The corner unit missing central uppermost finial. Otherwise good. 9-21931 (400-600)
