STEVENS PATENT PERCUSSION REVOLVER. SN 97. Cal. 28. 2-7/8” round bbl. Marked “MASS. ARMS CO / CHICOPEE FALLS” on the top strap. “PATENT / JAN. 2. 1855” on the backstrap, “MAYNARD’S PATENT / SEP. 22. 1845” on the primer cover. Frame is lightly engraved with large scrolls. Cylinder is etched with similar pattern. CONDITION: Fine with 80% thinning blue on the bbl and latch, 60% on the cylinder and traces on the frame. The pearl grips are lightly stained from rust inside. The left one has two drill holes and a light crack at the heel. Cylinder lock is not working. FS18 4-48399 (600-1,000)
