COLT MODEL 1862 POLICE PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 36perc. Usual configuration with 4 1/2” round bbl., 5 shot fluted cylinder with British proofs in the flutes. There are no proofs visible on bbl or frame. Frame is case colored with brass trigger guard and grip frame, one piece walnut grips. SN 33902, all matching except cylinder which is numbered to a different revolver. CONDITION: Bbl. Retains 50-60% original blue. Cylinder has traces of blue in sheltered areas. Frame retains 60-70% case colors, stronger on left side with some light pitting on right side. Trigger guard and grip frame are a medium mustard patina. Grips retain about 85% original varnish with some battering on bottom. Bore is strong with moderate to heavy pitting. Hand spring is broken, otherwise mechanics are fine. 4-48968 JR761 (800-1,200)
