FOUR STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER PRINTED LARGE PLATTERS. Mid 19th century, English. The first, a pink scenic example titled “PALESTINE”. The second, a green scenic example titled “Villa”. The third, a two color mulberry and green platter marked “NEW STONE CHINA” depicting floral sprays and arrangements within borders of scrolling vinery and urns. The fourth, a black and white floral platter incised with mark of “CLEWS” above a crown. SIZE: Ranges from 17-18/1/2″ l. CONDITION: First very good. Second with minor cosmetic repairs to base, overpainted. Third very good. Fourth with some cosmetic repairs on front. 9-22109 (800-1,200)
