*SCARCE REMINGTON MODEL 1894 CE GRADE DAMASCUS DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 114205. Beautiful dbl with 30″ “Etoile Pattern” Damascus bbls choked FULL/MOD with flat, tapered, matted rib, sgl bead & third bite rib extension, ejectors & dbl triggers. Maker’s name & address are on the bbls. Receiver is lightly engraved with about 25% coverage fine arabesque patterns & the maker’s name engraved on each side. Wood is nicely figured French walnut with checkered splinter forearm & capped semi-pistol grip stock with raised side panels, 14″ over a Remington logo hard rubber buttplate. There is an initial plate on the bottom. Drop at the heel 3”, drop at the comb 1-7/8”. Weight: 7 lbs. 8.1 oz. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbls retain 95-97% beautiful restored Damascus patterns with light muzzle edge wear & a minor nick or two. Receiver retains 15-20% case colors in the sheltered areas with the balance faded to silver. Stock has hairlines back of the top tang & on each side flat, otherwise the wood is sound with a small area of fill by the top tang & it retains most of a professionally restored finish. There is a small sliver missing by the top tang. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bores with fine pitting. 5-60455 JR185 (1,250-2,250)
