*REMINGTON MODEL 1894 BE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 118880. Fine hunting gun with 30″ steel bbls choked FULL/FULL with flat, tapered, and matted rib with sgl bead, third fastener rib extension, ejectors & dbl triggers. Receiver has scallop & dot border patterns with some light flourishes of foliate arabesque engraving & the maker’s name stamped on each side. Wood is nicely figured American walnut with checkered splinter forearm & rnd knob semi-pistol grip stock with raised side panels, 14″ over a Remington logo hard rubber buttplate. Drop at the heel 3-1/8″, drop at the comb 1-7/8″. Weight: 7 lbs. 5.8 oz. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbls retain most of a professionally restored finish with a minor nick or two. Receiver & floorplate retain 75-80% case colors, strong in the sheltered areas, turning silver toward the front of the bottom. Stock has a gouge on the left side with several smaller gouges on the left & right sides and other light handling & use marks, otherwise the wood is sound & retains about 90% strong orig varnish.
