AMERICAN OVAL CHEVELLE MIRROR. Circa 1900. “Hodgkins & Fiske Co., Bangor, Maine.” This labeled example with a beveled oval mirrorplate within a conforming molded frame, swiveling on a wishbone support joined by brass fittings, the whole swiveling on a base of four downswept legs with stylized dolphin heads, raised on casters. SIZE: 73″ h overall x 28″ w overall. PROVENANCE: From an Ellsworth, Maine Estate. CONDITION: Retains old surfaces with nice color and patina. Minor foxing to mirror, otherwise very good. 9-21972 (400-600)
