*SCARCE REMINGTON MODEL 1894 CEO GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 122842. Fine scarce Remington with 30″ “Ordnance” steel bbls choked IMP-MOD/IMP-MOD with flat, matted, and tapered rib with sgl bead, third bite rib extension, ejectors & dbl triggers. Maker’s name & address are on the bbls & left bbl is also marked “ORDNANCE”. Receiver is typically “C” engraved with light foliate arabesque patterns & the maker’s name engraved on each side. Opening lever, trigger guard & forend iron are engraved to match. Wood is very highly figured, honey & chocolate, French walnut with checkered splinter forearm & stock with Prince of Wales grip & raised side panels, 14″ over a Remington logo hard rubber buttplate. Drop at the heel 2-5/8″, drop at the comb 1-11/16″. Weight: 7 lbs. 5.0 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 98-99% strong bright orig factory blue with a couple of minor nicks & scratches and a 1/4″ chemical spot on the left bbl. Receiver & floorplate retain most of their strong bright orig case colors with minor light edge wear. Wood is sound with minor handling & storage marks and a small bruise & scratches on the right side of the buttstock and retains most of the orig factory varnish.
