PARKERS’ SNOW MODEL 1861 RIFLE MUSKET. Cal. 58. NSN. Usual configuration with 40″ bbl, square base front sight/bayonet lug, 2-position musket rear sight, usual lockplate markings dated “1863”. Mounted in a 1-pc. walnut stock with three bands & sling swivels and has two visible cartouches on the left side flat with a tulip head ramrod. CONDITION: Good. Metal retains a mottled silver/brown patina with fine surface pitting, heavier around the nipple area. Wood is sound, showing moderate wear, with usual handling & use marks with chipping around the buttplate. Mechanics are fine, strong bore with scattered pitting. 5-60367 JR86 (800-1,200)
