EARLY PARKER DAMASCUS LIFTER HAMMER DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. appears to be 14 ga. SN 238. Very early lifter built on a rnd action with peninsula back action locks, 30″ Damascus steel bbls, with smooth rib, sgl bead & extractor. Receiver, lockplates & hammer have a scallop & dot border, otherwise they are unmarked except for the “1866” patent date on the trigger plate. Wood is highly figured tiger striped American walnut with checkered splinter forearm with wedge & straight stock, 14-1/4″ over a smooth steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbls retain 40-50% thin silvery Damascus pattern, having been cleaned, with light nicks & dings. Receiver, lockplates & trigger guard are cleaned to a bright metal color. Wood is sound & retains most of a fine professionally restored finish. Lifter will not always hold open & mechanics are a little loose. Shiny bores with fine pitting. 5-60545 JR166 (500-1,000)
