LINDSAY TWO SHOT MARTIAL SIZE PISTOL. NSN. .37 cal. rifled. 8-7/16” part oct bbl. Marked “LINDSAY’S / YOUNG – AMERICA / PATENT’D. FEB. 8 1859 / PATENT’D.OCT. 9. 1860” on top of the bbl. The lack of serial number and the different marking and cal. indicates that this is possibly an experimental or transition pistol, made before the standard Marshal size. CONDITION: 50% thinning blue on the bbl and trigger. Bright case hardening on the hammers. No finish on the frame. Grips have small dents and scratches but retain most of their varnish.
