PARKER O GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN 2-BBL SET. Cal. 10 ga. SN 2494. Built on a #2 frame with 26″ Damascus bbls & 32-1/8″ steel bbls, two forearms with slab sawn American walnut wood, rnd knob, semi-pistol grip stock, 13-7/8″ over a deep dog’s head buttplate. The Damascus bbls have a rifle insert in the left bore that appears to be chambered for 32-40 and there is a Lyman folding top tang sight attached to the top of the wrist. Both bbls have small screwed on rifle sights. Receiver has light border engraving & one or two tiny flourishes of arabesque patterns. Accompanied by a Parker letter identifying this shotgun as having been produced in December 1874. It only lists the 32″ bbls. CONDITION: Very good. Steel bbls retain 60-70% thin orig blue with a couple of small spots of rust pitting, bright shiny bores. Damascus bbls retain about 50% thin Damascus pattern with bright rifle bore & lightly pitted shotgun bore. Receiver & lockplates retain 40-50% thin faded case colors with the balance turned silver. Wood is sound with both forearms showing moderate to heavy wear. 5-60341 JR65 (2,000-3,500)
