TWO STAFFORDSHIRE TOBY JUGS. 19th century. First a prattware example, male portly figure in blue jacket with yellow vest. Second, male figure with muttonchop sideburns, reddish brown coat and yellow trousers with top hat, complete with lid. SIZE: 1) 9-1/2″ h. 2) 9-3/4″ h overall. PROVENANCE: From a fine Texas Estate. CONDITION: First, spout with repaired damages, handle similarly repaired. Second with slight overall abrasion to glaze and with repairs around hat brim. 9-22972 (400-600)
