SCARCE GRADE 2 LIFTER HAMMER DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 10 ga. SN 14370. Built on a #2 frame with 30″ Damascus bbls, smooth tapered concave rib with sgl bead & extractors. Receiver has beautifully finished deep scalloped fences with light border engraving. Lockplates have matching border engraving with light arabesque patterns. Wood is nicely figured American walnut with checkered splinter forearm & rnd knob stock, 14-3/8″ over a smooth steel buttplate. Inside the forend channel is stamped “J. PHENIX”. Mr. Phenix was one of Parker’s premier gun makers. CONDITION: Fine plus. Bbls retain about 90% orig silver/brown Damascus pattern with minor nicks & a spot or two of light rust. Receiver retains 60-70% faded case colors. Left lockplate & hammer retain 85-90% case colors, strong in the sheltered areas and the right side about 70%. Stock has a crack through the wrist, otherwise the wood is sound and retains generous amounts of orig finish. Good mechanics, strong bright bores with scattered light pitting. 5-60358 JR81 (1,500-2,500)
