MARKLIN PATERSON TRAIN STATION. This is very rare and extremely desirable piece that would look great either on a layout or on a mantel. Magnificent and rare Marklin train station produced purely for the American market circa 1910-1912. The station base is dark green with a dark gray roof with diagonal stripping. This two story station meant for one gauge sets shows wonderful detail, featuring a bay window with telegraph office and ticket office, lettered “Paterson” above the door. Overall color of the station is orange-yellow with a red brick outline and green and black trim. It has wood grain doors that open and close with original doorknobs. There are four Paterson signs in black lettering, white background, and red trim. The passenger entrance has a wide oval arch; there is no glass in station, however it appears that it may have had glass at one time. SIZE: Overall 8-1/2” w x 16-1/4” l x 10-5/8” h. CONDITION: The interior of the station is very clean. The roof has overall crazing on it but is in very nice condition. Some minor chips along the edge of the platform and a minor ding about a quarter of an inch long. The exterior is fantastic with very few blemishes. Overall near excellent. A once in a lifetime offering. EC 1-6441 (8,000-12,000)
