EARLY COLT BISLEY FLAT TOP TARGET SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. 32 Colt. SN 167722. All blue with 7-1/2″ bbl, 1-line block letter address with square base front sight and German silver blade. Left side of bbl is marked “(BISLEY MODEL) 32 COLT.” It has flat top frame with target rear sight, rampant Colt in a circle & 2-line patent dates. Mounted with beautiful 2-pc silver Colt medallion ivory grips that are slightly small for this frame. Accompanied by Colt Factory letter fully identifying this revolver with “RUBBER” stocks, shipped Jan. 19, 1897 to Kennedy Bros., Minneapolis, MN. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine. Bbl retains 96-97% strong bright orig blue with three tiny chemical spots on the side, three or four scratches around base pin & slight muzzle edge wear. Frame retains about 98% strong bright orig blue with only very slight sharp edge wear. Cylinder retains 94-95% strong orig blue with a cylinder line & a couple of thin spots opposite each other. Grip frame retains 92-94% bright orig blue with some slight thinning to backstrap, scrape marks on buttstrap & some sanding or file marks in radius of front strap. Hammer retains 96-97% bright niter blue. Grips are sound with no discernible flaws & retain a beautiful mellow ivory color. Crisp mechanics, brilliant shiny bore. 4-57507 JR272 (15,000-20,000)
