RENAISSANCE REVIVAL CARVED BEECH HALL CHAIR. Second half 19th century. The arched molded and foliate pierce-carved crest rail joined to scrolled columnar styles centering a rectangular molded upholstered back panel joined to the trapezoidal over-upholstered seat. Raised on block-and-baluster turned legs, the rear legs raked, and with frontal Spanish feet. SIZE: 49-1/2″ h of back, 17″ h of seat. PROVENANCE: Collection of Elwyn Dearborn, Medford, NJ & Portland, ME. CONDITION: Retains original surface with dark patina. Structurally good. One leg missing outside piece of proper left foot. 9-95981 (200-300)
