PAIR OF AMERICAN CLASSICAL MAHOGANY FOOTSTOOLS. Second quarter 19th century. This nice pair of figured mahogany stools with rectangular cyma-molded seat frames fitted with removable cushions raised on scrolling X-form supports joined by a baluster turned stretcher. One retains original needlepoint covering. SIZE: 16″ h x 22-1/2″ l x 19-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: From an Ellsworth, Maine Estate. CONDITION: Minor lifting of veneers with some old repairs. One foot has been reattached. Both retain original surfaces otherwise very good. 9-21958 (400-600)
