TWO AMERICAN EMPIRE MAHOGANY CARD TABLES WITH SIMILAR OGEE MIRRORS. 2nd quarter, 19th century. Each table with a rectangular hinged top above a shaped, molded frieze, the first joined to a flared, square pedestal joined to a base with four rolled feet with incurved sides. The second joined to a stylized lyre form pedestal with a concave, molded conforming plinth, modified trestle base with molded feet. Together with two rectangular mirrors with ogee molded surrounds. SIZE: Table 1: 29-1/2″ h x 34″ w x 16-1/2″ d; Table 2: 29-1/2″ h x 36″ w x 17-3/4″ d. PROVENANCE: From an Ellsworth, Maine Estate. CONDITION: Tables structurally very good with nicely polished surfaces. The second table top with area of transferred impression from heat. 9-21949 (600-900)
