PARKER QUALITY 3 DAMASCUS DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 10 ga. SN 31429. Built on a #4 frame with 32″ Damascus steel bbls with smooth concave rib, sgl bead, doll’s head extension & extractor. Receiver has a deep raised scallop on each fence with deep scallop recesses over the firing pins. Lockplates are beautifully engraved with a bird dog & bird on each side, a large vignette of what appear to be two turkeys in a barnyard scene with a woodcock on the trigger plate. It is all surrounded with light patterns of arabesque engraving. Hammers, opening lever, trigger guard & forend iron are engraved to match. Wood is very nicely figured English walnut with checkered splinter forearm & semi-pistol grip stock with raised teardrop side panels, 14-1/4″ over a skeleton buttplate with checkered center. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain about 85% light brown Damascus pattern with a few minor nicks & dings and some discoloration near the muzzle. Lockplates retain most of their bright orig case colors with some fading toward the front end. Receiver retains 50-60% fading case colors, strong in the sheltered areas, silver elsewhere. Wood is sound with minor nicks & scratches and retains most of its orig factory varnish. 5-60458 JR190 (3,000-5,000)
