NEW ENGLAND BIRDSEYE MAPLE ROCKING CHAIR. 2nd Half 19th Century. The shaped crest rail joined to serpentine styles centering a caned back conforming panel and joined to shaped arms with rolled grips. The trapezoidal caned seat with shaped front rail raised on saber legs joined by a box stretcher on rockers. SIZE: Height of back 38″ PROVENANCE: Collection of Elwyn Dearborn, Medford, NJ & Portland, ME. CONDITION: Very good structural condition with honey brown patina. 9-95994 (200-300)
