*PARKER VH GRADE LIVE PIGEON DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 118801. Built on a #2 frame with 32″ Vulcan steel bbls choked FULL/FULL with matted rib, dbl ivory beads, no doll’s head extension and no thumb safety & never had either. It has extractor & dbl triggers. Receiver has “G” style border engraving with the maker’s name on each side & a small, engraved flourish where the safety should be. Wood is very nicely grained American walnut with sparsely checkered splinter forearm & straight grip stock, 14-13/16″ over a solid red recoil pad with the small silver initial shield on the bottom. Drop at the heel 2-3/8″, drop at the comb 1-5/8″. Weight: 7 lbs. 13.3. oz. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbls retain 90-93% strong orig blue with muzzle edge wear & thin spots on both bbls over the forearm area along with a couple of small dings. Receiver retains 50-60% case colors, strong in the sheltered areas turned silver elsewhere. Stock has two tiny hairlines back of the top tang, otherwise the wood is sound & retains most of a professionally restored finish. Fine mechanics, brilliant shiny bores. 5-60494 JR161 (4,000-7,000)
