WINCHESTER MODEL 1866 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44 RF Henry. SN 20652. Very rare full nickel-plated rifle with 24-1/4” oct bbl, full magazine, usual front sight with Henry ladder rear sight. The bbl has Henry patent markings and King patent markings. The forend cap and buttstock are fitted with factory sling swivels and it has a crescent buttplate with trap. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Bbl retains about 90% strong milky original nickel-plating with scattered spots of brown patina showing through. Magazine tube retains 95-96% strong original nickel plating. Receiver has a 1/8” spot over the chamber area and another back of the hammer, otherwise retains most of its dull original nickel. Forend cap and buttplate also retain most of their original nickel. Forend cap screw and buttplate screws are battered. Magazine band pin is missing. Wood is sound and retains most of a very fine professionally restored finish. Mechanics are fine with brilliant shiny bore. 4-52540 JR285 (10,000-20,000)
