VERY EARLY MARKLIN CLOCKWORK 1 GAUGE LOCOMOTIVE. This is a very early locomotive (ca. 1898-1905) with black sides and roof with red trim delightful open cab and gold side plates for motor. Boiler is black with gold trim. Also has nickel sand dome and steam dome. Retains early hand brake, front coupler, and early Marklin embossing on boiler front. CONDITION: Center of boiler missing some paint in the center, otherwise paint is very good for its age. Missing smokestack and brake rod that goes to engine. Overall very good plus.
