*SCARCE PARKER PH GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 216897. Built on a scarce 1-1/2 frame with 28″ Parker steel bbls choked FULL/MOD. It has matted rib with sgl bead, doll’s head extension, extractors & dbl triggers. Wood is very nicely figured center crotch cut American walnut with checkered splinter forearm & pistol grip stock, 14-1/4″ over a dog’s head buttplate. Accompanied by a Parker letter which indicates it was finished Aug. 15, 1926. It is fully identified with the option of “TRAP MODEL FOREND” vs. the splinter forearm currently present. This forearm is authentic & orig and bears the last four digits of the serial number at the back end under the iron, obviously a mistake in the records. Bbls retain about 95% strong orig blue with light muzzle edge wear, a thin touched up spot on the left bbl, a minor ding in the right bbl and other light nicks. Receiver retains 20-25% case colors in sheltered areas with the balance turned silver with some light surface discoloring & spotting at the front end. Wood is sound and retains about 90% strong orig varnish. Good mechanics, bright shiny bores. 5-60386 JR104 (1,250-1,750)
