*PARKER PH GRADE DBL BBL DAMASCUS HAMMERLESS SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 159367. Built on a #2 frame with 30″ twist steel bbls choked FULL/FULL with matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head extension, extractors & dbl triggers. Receiver is lightly engraved with border patterns & scattered foliate arabesque patterns. Wood is nicely figured American walnut with checkered splinter forearm & pistol grip stock, 14-1/4″ over a deep dog’s head buttplate. Accompanied by a Parker letter indicating shipment on Sept. 23, 1912 to Charles Parker Co.’s office in New York City and completely identifies this shotgun. Weight: 7 lbs. 9.1 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 96-98% strong brown orig twist pattern with a few minor tiny nicks. Receiver retains 75-80% faded case colors with the balance a gray/brown patina. Trigger guard retains 96-97% bright orig blue. Stock has replaced chip back of the top tang and a small fill by the lower tang, otherwise the wood is sound and retains most of a professionally restored finish.
