*SCARCE PARKER GHE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 230011. Built on a scarce 1-1/2 frame with 30″ special steel bbls choked FULL/FULL with matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head extension, ejectors & Parker sgl selective trigger. Receiver is engraved in typical “G” patterns with large vignettes of two flying geese on the left side, two pheasants on the right side & two pheasants on the floorplate, all surrounded with light border & arabesque patterns. Maker’s name is inside the top of each side vignette. Wood is nicely figured flame grain American walnut with checkered splinter forearm & pistol grip stock, 14″ over a dog’s head buttplate. Accompanied by the orig Parker hang tangs identifying this shotgun on one tag & instructions for use on the other. Also accompanied by a Bill of Sale from Chadick’s Ltd. Dated 2-22-00. Drop at the heel 2-3/4”, drop at the comb 1-1/4”. Weight: 7 lbs. 6.9 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain about 93-94% strong orig blue with light muzzle edge wear & some thinning over the forearm area. Receiver retains 50-60% case colors, strong in the sheltered areas, fading and turning silver elsewhere. Wood is sound showing moderate wear on the forearm & light wear on the stock with the stock retaining about 95% orig varnish & the forearm a smooth even patina.
