COLT ARMY CONVERSION REVOLVER WITH HOLSTER. SN 5639, matching except wedge which has no number. Cal. 44. 8” round bbl. Late-type made with two-line patent marking on left side of frame. CONDITION: Very good to fine. 60% thinning blue on backstrap, 20% on trigger guard, 30% mixed with light pitting and surface rust on the bbl. Cylinder scene is fine but only traces of finish remain. The case hardening on the frame has mostly faded to a mottled patina with color only in protected places. Grips retain about 75% of the varnish, flaked at the bottom and right side. The holster has been reworked, removing the belt loop, part of the flap and top lip and replacing the strap. New belt loops have been cut where the original was placed. The seam has been re-sewn. 4-48423 (8,500-9,500)
