*PARKER GHE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 217998. Built on an “O” frame with 26″ special steel bbls choked MOD/MOD with matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head extension, ejectors & dbl triggers. Receiver is engraved in typical “G” patterns with vignettes of two flying ducks on the left side, two pheasants on the right side & two pheasants on the floorplate surrounded by light border & foliate arabesque patterns. Wood is very nicely figured American walnut with checkered splinter forearm & pistol grips stock, 14-1/4″ over a dog’s head buttplate. Accompanied by a Parker letter identifying this shotgun as being produced in July, 1926. Letter indicates it was chambered 2-3/8″. It gauges 2-1/2″. Drop at the heel 2-5/8″, drop at the comb 1-1/4″. Weight: 5 lbs. 15.6 oz. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine. Bbls retain 97-98% strong orig factory blue with a few light scrapes & marks over the chamber areas. Receiver retains 30-40% orig case colors, strong in the sheltered areas, fading & turning silver elsewhere. Wood is sound with minor nicks & scratches and retains 96-97% strong bright factory varnish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores with one spot in the right bbl. 5-60422 JR131 (4,000-7,000)
