AMERICAN CLASSICAL MAHOGANY PIER TABLE. Second quarter 19th century, New England. The rectangular top with canted front corners above the conforming ogee molded frieze joined to cyma curved yoke form supports with scrolled ears and a central carved scallop shell, the whole framing a mirror plate on a concave molded base raised on a plinth applied with scrolling carved vinery. SIZE: 36-1/2″ h x 42″ w x 17-1/2″ d. CONDITION: With old, if not original, surfaces and with minor veneer loss. Retaining original mirror plate and with good color and patina. 9-22229 (1,000-1,500)
