THREE CARVED IVORY FIGURAL GROUPS. 19th century, China and Japan. 1) Standing figure of a woman holding a flute. Mounted on double lotus throne hardwood stand. 2) Depicting a young Japanese woman holding a happy child. With signature on base. 3) Peasant carrying a rooster. SIZE: Tallest: 9-1/2″ h. CONDITION: 1) With wear to polychrome surfaces. Loss of proper left pinky. With small losses to details. 2) With fine age hairlines and loss to object in right hand. Otherwise good. 3) Probability of two missing figures on base. Fine age hairlines and probable repair to outside of left foot. 7-73552 (300-500)
