SHERATON MAHOGANY AND MAPLE TWO DRAWER WORK TABLE. Circa 1840. Probably New York, the rectangular thin mahogany top above the conforming case fitted with a bank of two drawers, each with tiger maple veneer fronts, raised on swelled cylindrical ring turned legs with ringed cuffs and suppressed ball feet. SIZE: 28-1/2″ h x 22″ w x 17-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: Estate of William Hoeschle of Belfast, Maine. CONDITION: Professionally refinished and restored, brass hardware a later replacement, surfaces and color very good. 9-96575 (200-300)
