*LATE PARKER GHE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 16 ga. SN 241976. Built on a #1 frame with 28″ steel bbls choked IMP-CYL/IMP-CYL. Bbl flats are marked “FULL/FULL”. Bbls have matted rib, with sgl bead, doll’s head extension, and ejectors & has dbl triggers. Receiver is engraved with typical “G” grade patterns of ducks on the left side, quail on the right side & pheasants on the floorplate with the maker’s name at the front of the receiver, all surrounded by light border & arabesque patterns. Wood is highly figured tiger stripe & shell grain American walnut with checkered splinter forearm & pistol grip stock, 14-1/4″ over a dog’s head buttplate. Drop at the heel 2-5/8″, drop at the comb 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. 13.2 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 97-98% strong orig blue with fine muzzle edge wear & a couple of small scratches. Receiver retains virtually all of its orig case colors, strong & bright everywhere except the front of the bottom, which is dark & turning gray. Wood is sound with a chemical streak on the right side of the buttstock & some fabric rub patterns in the finish on both sides, otherwise it retains about all of its strong bright orig varnish, a nearly new gun.
