DIMINUTIVE ENGLISH VICTORIAN CHILD’S PINE WASHSTAND WITH CHAMBER SET. 3rd quarter 19th century. The rectangular top with oval receptacle above the conforming frieze, each end fitted with a turned towel rail raised on tapering cylindrical ring turned legs joined by a central shelf. The washstand fitted with a blue transfer decorated 4-pc chamber set consisting of oval washbowl, pitcher, soap dish and cup. SIZE: Washstand: 18-1/2″ h x 20″ w x 13-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: From a Massachusetts Collection. CONDITION: The washstand with waxed polish surfaces. The chamber set with chips to pitcher and with hairline in cup. Otherwise good. 9-22341 (500-800)
