TEN PIECE AMERICAN TIGER OAK DINING SUITE. Circa 1900. Comprised of a sideboard, square dining table and eight matching chairs. The mirror back sideboard with rectangular shaped crest applied with C-scrolls and carved leaf tips above a shelf raised on scrolling pilasters centering a rectangular beveled mirror plate, joined to a base of two aligned short drawers above a long drawer over a pair of cupboard doors applied with scrolling leaf tips. The set of chairs comprised of seven sides and a single armchair. Each with a curved rectangular crest above a pierced splat comprised of eight wavy slats joined to a central pierced shield applied with carved leaf tips. The shaped seat centering in upholstered panel raised on frontal cabriole legs terminating in carved paw feet. The square quartersawn oak table raised on five shaped and reeded legs, the apron with a molded bobbin edge. This example accompanied by four original 9″ leaves. SIZE: Sideboard: 80″ h x 56″ w x 25″ d. Table: 48″ square x 28-1/2″ h. Fully extended 48″ x 84″.
