CASED PAIR OF BOND DOUBLE BARRELL PISTOLS WITH SNAP BAYONETS. NSN. 58 Cal. 4-7/8” ribbed bbls. Marked “E. & W. BOND. 45 . CORNHILL. LONDON” on top of the bbl rib. There is light engraving on the action, triggerguard, hammers and front and rear of the bbls. In an orig mahogany case which has a label inside of the lid with a Bond name and address. The case is lined with green baize and contains compartments with the powder measure, bullet mold, combination loading and cleaning rod, nipple wrench and powder flask. The hinge screws have been removed. The latch hooks are both bent. CONDITION: Metal surfaces have been cleaned with moderate spotting and some very light pitting remaining. Checkering on the grips is sharp. Mechanically fine. Case has minor dents and scratches. Both of the interior compartment lids are missing. Flask is dented. Iron portions of the tools are lightly rusted. Label has considerable insect damage. Wm. Hancock Collection 4-58583 FS618 (3,000-5,000)
