*SCARCE PARKER DHE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 242374. Built on a very scarce 1/2 frame with 26″ steel bbls choked MOD/IMP-CYL with matted rib, dbl ivory beads, doll’s head extension, ejectors & Parker sgl selective trigger. Receiver is beautifully engraved in typical “D” patterns with a setter on point on the left side, a pointer on point on the right side & three pheasant on the floorplate. All surrounded by about 60% coverage beautiful foliate arabesque patterns. Wood is highly figured sunburst center crotch cut American walnut with checkered beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock with raised teardrop side panels, 13-7/8″ over a skeleton buttplate with checkered center. Buttstock has a 1-1/4″ extension that was re-attached from the orig piece. Accompanied by a bill of sale from Chadick’s Ltd. dated 3/13/2000, which discloses that Mr. Parker paid $15,000 for this shotgun at that time. Drop at the heel 2-3/8″, drop at the comb 1-1/2″. Weight: 7 lbs. 7.3 oz. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Bbls retain 95-96% strong orig blue with minor nicks & scratches and a tiny ding in the right bbl. Receiver retains about 95% orig case colors, slightly faded toward the front end, strong & bright elsewhere. Stock has a couple of tiny hairlines back of the top tang & the previously noted reattached piece and has minor light scratches & handling marks and retains about 95-96% of its beautiful custom finish. Forearm retains 93-95% orig varnish. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bores. 5-60401 JR115 (10,000-15,000)
