*SCARCE PARKER CHE GRADE DAMASCUS DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 16 ga. SN 156518. Built on a #1 frame with 28″ Bernard steel bbls choked FULL/FULL with matted rib, sgl bead, and doll’s head extension, ejectors & dbl triggers. Wood is very nicely figured streaky English walnut with checkered splinter forearm & pistol grip stock with teardrop side panels, extensively checkered wrist, 14″ over a skeleton buttplate with checkered center. Receiver is very nicely engraved with highly detailed vignettes of bird dogs on each side & five flying ducks over a marsh scene on the floorplate, surrounded by about 60% coverage fine foliate arabesque patterns with zig-zag borders. Company’s name is in a ribbon on each side. Drop at the heel 2-7/8″, drop at the comb 1-3/4″. Weight: 6 lbs. 9.4 oz. CONDITION: Fine plus. Bbls retain 98-99% fine restored brown Damascus pattern with one small spot on the right bbl. Receiver & wood retain most of a very professionally restored finish. Case colors by Turnbull. Stock has a couple of small hairlines back of the top tang and probably cracked through the web, otherwise the wood is sound. Action is a little sticky, otherwise mechanics are fine.
