*LATE PARKER DHE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 16 ga. SN 241629. Built on a #1 frame with 28″ steel bbls choked IMP-MOD/IMP-CYL with matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head extension, ejectors & Miller sgl selective trigger that may be orig to this gun. Receiver is engraved in late typical “D” patterns with a bird dog on each side & three pheasant on the floorplate, all surrounded by about 50% coverage fine foliate arabesque patterns. Wood is highly figured feather crotch American walnut with 3-panel checkered beavertail forearm & semi-pistol grip stock, 13-1/2″ over a skeleton buttplate with checkered center. It has a silver initial plate on the bottom. Drop at the heel 2-3/4″, drop at the comb 1-5/8″. Weight: 7 lbs. 3.6 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 97-98% strong bright orig blue with slight muzzle edge wear, three or four small spots of rust on the right bbl, a spot of pitting on the left bbl with some slight dulling just forward of the forearm area. Receiver retains 15-20% faded case colors with the balance turned silver. Wood is sound with a few scrapes & scratches in the finish & retains most of its orig varnish with some crazing to the finish on the buttstock.
