*PARKER CHE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 230683. Built on an “O” frame with 30″ Acme steel bbls choked FULL/FULL with matted rib, dbl ivory beads, doll’s head extension, ejectors & Parker sgl trigger. Receiver is beautifully engraved with a bird dog on each side & a large flying mallard on the floorplate. All surrounded by about 65% coverage fine foliate arabesque patterns with a wide chain border. Wood is beautiful marble cake French walnut with checkered splinter forearm & straight stock with raised teardrop side panels, 14-1/8″ over a skeleton buttplate with checkered center. Stock & trigger guard are a conversion from pistol grip configuration. There is a silver initial plate on the bottom. Drop at the heel 2-5/8″, drop at the comb 1-3/8″. Weight: 6 lbs. 8.8 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Retains virtually all of a fine Doug Turnbull restoration to both metal & wood. Stock has a couple of small bruises & nicks on the bottom. Bbls may be old retrofitted as the serial number size does not match the receiver and the fit of the doll’s head is not flush, otherwise the bbls are crisp & tight.
