*SCARCE PARKER BHE GRADE DAMASCUS DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 111224. Built on a #2 frame with 30″ Damascus steel bbls choked FULL/FULL, matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head extension, ejectors & dbl triggers. Receiver is beautifully engraved with large vignettes of two bird dogs on each side & the floorplate with a bull & cow elk in field scene surrounded by about 70% fine foliate arabesque patterns with a beautiful chain border & floral patterns on the fences. Fences have a sgl raised rib around the circumference and the receiver has the maker’s name in a ribbon on each side. Wood is highly figured marble-cake Circassian walnut with full checkered splinter forearm & straight stock with checkered raised fleur-de-lis side panels, 14-3/8″ over a skeleton buttplate with checkered center. Drop at the heel 2-3/8″, drop at the comb 1-1/4″. Weight: 7 lbs. 12.4 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain about 90% strong orig Damascus pattern with light wear & a few tiny nicks. Receiver retains 85-90% orig case colors, strong in the sheltered areas, fading to silver toward the front end. Stock has a chip back of the lower tang, otherwise the wood is sound with minor nicks & scratches & a couple of grain checks on the right side of the buttstock. Overall the wood retains 85-90% strong orig varnish. Right ejector will not cock, otherwise mechanics are fine. Very bright shiny bores. 5-60421 JR130 (8,000-12,000)
