RARE PARKER AH GRADE DAMASCUS DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 83103. Fine Parker dbl, built on a #2 frame, with 28″ fine pattern Damascus bbls choked CYL/CYL with matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head extension, extractors & dbl triggers. Shotgun will letter with 30″ bbls. Receiver is beautifully engraved with extremely fine foliate arabesque patterns with a total of nine game scene vignettes consisting of bird dogs & pheasants on the left side with flying ducks on the left fence, bird dogs & ducks on the right side with partridge on the right fence. Bottom of the receiver has four partridge and the floorplate a running bull elk & four cows. Trigger guard has a running bull elk. Opening lever, top tang, buttplate & forend iron are engraved to match. Forend tip retains about 60% gold wash. It is mounted in highly figured burl & shell grain French walnut with checkered splinter forearm and checkered raised fleur-de-lis side panels, 14″ over a skeleton buttplate with checkered center. Drop at the heel 2-5/8”, drop at the comb 1-5/8”. Weight 7 lb. 3.3 oz: CONDITION: As noted, very fine. Bbls retain most of their orig blue/brown pattern, thinning over the forearm area. Receiver retains 25-30% fading case colors with the balance turned silver. Floorplate retains about 60% case colors. Wood is sound and retains most of a professionally restored finish.
