PAIR OF FINE FRENCH PORCELAIN GARNITURE VASES. Each urn form garniture mounted with gilt metal lions masks and decorated with a central cartouche polychrome-painted with a scene of a mother and child, the reverse painted with a river scene. The incurved neck gilt decorated with ribbon-tied trophy mount fitted with a conforming lid with pineapple knop. The second similarly decorated with a mother and child, a village in the background; the reverse painted with a lake scene with a chateau in the background. The incurve neck gilt decorated with a ribbon-tied musical trophy. Each raised on square brass bases with incurved corners and each marked beneath the base with a Sevres mark centering a “B” over an “A” date mark. SIZE: 9″H. CONDITION: One lid with repair. Second lid with shall rim chip. Otherwise overall good. Slight wear to gilting. 9-22598 (800-1,200)
