*RARE PARKER AHE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 216544. Built on a #2 frame with 32″ Acme steel bbls choked FULL/FULL with tapered matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head extension, ejectors & dbl triggers, front is hinged. It is mounted with beautifully figured streaky French walnut wood with full checkered splinter forearm and straight stock with fleur-de-lis checkered raised side panels, 14″ over a skeleton butt with checkered center. Receiver is full coverage, beautifully engraved, with large game scenes consisting of two quail on the left side, pheasant on the right side, a bird dog on the bottom and a spaniel holding a woodcock on the floorplate, all surrounded by very fine patterns of foliate arabesque engraving. Maker’s name is in a panel on each side. Fences have a sgl, raised scallop & the opening lever, top tang, trigger guard & buttplate are engraved to match. Bbls have a narrow border at the breech end. Will letter exactly as found. Drop at the heel 1-1/2”, drop at the comb 1-3/8”. Bbl restrictions: left – .031, right – .037. Weight 7 lbs 14.0 oz: CONDITION: Very fine plus. Bbls retain 96-97% strong orig blue with a few small, scattered spots of fine pitting on the bottom. Receiver retains about 50% faded orig case colors with the balance turned silver. Wood is sound with light handling & use marks and retains most of its orig bright factory finish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. 5-60402 JR457 (35,000-50,000)
