*RARE PARKER AHE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 213719. Built on an “O” frame with 28″ Acme steel bbls choked FULL/MOD with tapered matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head extension, ejectors & dbl triggers (will letter with sgl trigger). Receiver is very beautifully engraved with four game scenes consisting of a flying quail on the left side, a standing quail on the right side, a bird dog on the bottom and three quail on the floorplate in a field scene all surrounded by very beautiful foliate arabesque patterns which extend up over the fences. Fences have a sgl, raised scallop around the back edges. Top lever, top tang, trigger guard & forend iron are engraved to match with a narrow band at the chamber end of the bbls. It is mounted in a beautiful marble cake French walnut pistol grip stock with raised checkered fleur-de-lis side panels 14-5/8″ over an old red waffle pad. Grip cap has a gold-plate engraved “R.W. WATTERS JR”. It has a full-checkered replacement beavertail forearm with a fleur-de-lis pattern at the tip. Drop at the heel 2-3/8”, drop at the comb 1-3/8”. Bore restrictions: left – .021, right – .012. Weight: 6 lbs, 5.3 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain 94-95% orig blue turned plum. Receiver retains dark case colors in the very sheltered areas with the balance faded to a dark gray. Stock is sound with minor nicks & scratches and retains most of an old restored finish. Forearm is fine & retains most of its fine custom finish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores with a few scattered spots of very light pitting. 5-60412 JR463 (15,000-25,000)
