PARKER G GRADE DAMASCUS DBL BBL HAMMER SHOTGUN. Cal. 10 ga. SN 45275. Built on a #3 frame with 30″ Damascus steel bbls with smooth concave rib, sgl bead, doll’s head extension & extractors. It is mounted in very nicely figured slab sawed American walnut wood with checkered splinter forearm & semi-pistol grip stock, 14-1/4″ over a deep dog’s head buttplate that has turned chocolate and so has the grip cap. Receiver & lockplates are engraved with typical “G” patterns of a partridge on the left side, flying ducks on the right side & a flying duck on the bottom with light arabesque patterns surrounding & a light border pattern. Drop at the heel 3-1/8”, drop at the comb 2”. Weight: 9 lbs, 2.5 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain about 50% thin, cleaned Damascus pattern and are prime candidates for restoration. Lockplates retain most of their bright orig case colors, slightly faded toward the front ends, more so on the right side. Receiver has traces of case colors in the sheltered areas having mostly turned to silver. Trigger plate retains about 90% bright case colors. Stock has a hairline back of the left lockplate, otherwise the wood is sound & retains most of its strong orig varnish on the buttstock with a fine hand rubbed patina and moderate to heavy wear on the forearm. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bores with scattered moderate pitting. 4-56432 JR462 (1,500-2,500)
