DUCAI PORCELAIN VASE. Possibly Ming Period, China. Squat baluster form vase profusely enamel decorated with floral blossoms centering a fanciful bird beneath a cracked ice border. The vase fitted with an intricately carved rosewood lid of scrolling floral vinery. SIZE: Vase: 11″ h. Overall: 16″ h. PROVENANCE: Paper label on bottom reads: “Wm. H. PLUMMER & Co., Ltd./NEW YORK CITY/ANTIQUE DEPT. Ming Jar [handwritten]/PERIOD 1368-1644 [handwritten]. Private Montclair, NJ home CONDITION: With approximately 7” horizontal fine hairline crack above footrim. Otherwise very good. 9-28258 (500-700)
